This program was written by Kirk Bauer.

*NOTE*
If you only have one computer, all you need is:
   ftp://ftp.kaybee.org/pub/redhat/RPMS/i386/autoupdate-2.2-1.i386.rpm
If you have a second computer, you can get the client software for the
client machines so that only one computer has to actually download the
updates....
   ftp://ftp.kaybee.org/pub/redhat/RPMS/i386/autoupdate-client-2.3-1.i386.rpm

First of all, I am *NOT* responsible for anything bad that might happen
because of this program. It doesn't do anything bad on my system, but
it is not my fault if it does something bad on your system.

You need the 'rpm-utils' package that I have made for this to work!
You *should* be able to get it at:

ftp://ftp.kaybee.org/pub/redhat/RPMS/i386/rpm-utils-1.4-1.i386.rpm

Okay, this script might be a repeat of what already comes with Red Hat
Linux, but with more options, I hope. Basically, there are two scripts.
If you have one system only, then just use the 'autoupdate' script. Put it
in /etc/cron.daily and edit the script and change any configuration you
would like to. Once configured, the script will keep your Red Hat Linux
system completely up-to-date with regard to updates RPMs from Red Hat.

If you want one system to be a server and several others to be a client
for the upgrade scripts, then you must change a few more options in
the 'autoupdate' script. The update script goes on the server machine in
/etc/cron.daily. Then, on each client machine, put the 'update-client'
script in the /etc/cron.daily directory. Configure each 'update-client'
script with the options you want and point it to the same directory that
you specified in the server's 'autoupdate' script.

This is just a test release, so I want some feedback. If this becomes
popular, I will write better docs. For now, feel free to email me with
any questions.

Plus, I *want* you to email me with any and all suggestions and comments.
