I took a look at kmidi yesterday after downloading the timidity patch
             file (9MB across a 28k modem ;-)

Really nice, kmidi I mean. Has all the things I would expect.
Some minor ideas that came into my mind / small bugs I found:

             - if you once select a list of midi files this one is stored and reloaded
after restart. It is possible to change the list, but the list is never
             stored
again. I had to manually edit ~/.kde/kmidi/default to reflect the actual set
               of midis I had.

             - The current directory is not displayed in the midi selection dialog. That
               is very annoying.

             - Compared with kscd the random play and the config button are swapped
and are on another place. Is it possible to agree with the author of kscd
on a common place where the buttons are ?

             - Calling kmidi <midi-filename> does not automatically start playing. This
would be nice, e.g. to use kmidi as midi player for Netscape. And I think
it is the behaviour one expects.

             Otherwise: great little program.

             Regards, Stefan
