Hello,

this is version 0.9 of kwm, the KDE Window manager.

See CHANGES for details.

Please don't send too much feature requests, since I know quite a lot
about kwm's shortcomings at presents.

Since kwm works stable on my system now with all applications I use
for testing (among them kfm, Xemacs, tkdesk, XEyes, StarOffice), I appreciate
real bugreports very much!

Here is a short description of the current kwm functionality in
combination with kpanel (html documentation is on the way):

kpanel's desktopbuttons: click on them to change the current virtual
                       desktop

kpanel's taskbar:

left mouse button: deiconify iconified window onto the current
desktop or switch to the desktop where the
                        clicked window is
middle mouse button: deiconify window if its not iconified,
                        iconify it otherwise

right mouse button: show a window operations menu

All these functions will raise a window when mapping it.

kwm:
click onto the border or the titlebar:
left mouse button: raise the window
middle mouse button: lower the window
right mouse button: show windows operation menu
or activate the window without raising it

     doubleclick on title toggles maximize

drag of the titlebar: move window (left mouse raises, middle mouse
            keeps the stacking position)

drag of corners or edges: resize the window (left mouse raises, middle
            mouse keeps the stacking position)

     click onto the root-window:
left mouse button: yet nothing, selection of a rectangle
                     in the future
middle mouse button: show the windowlist
right mouse button: shows a little popup for desktop operations

     Mod1-LMB moves windows

Mod1-Esc / Control-Esc shows the windowlist. You can select a virtual
desktop with a shortcut as well as a certain client with the
            arrow keys.

     Mod1-F1 (Alt-F1) invokes kpanel's system menu

Mod1-F2 (Alt-F2) invokes the internal command line interface
This will soon also have a history and you can enter URLs

Mod1-F3 (Alt-F3) invokes the window operations popup
            For Move and Resize:
Use the arrow keys for movement. Ctrl-ArrowKey moves pixelwise.
             Finish with <Return> or <Space>.

Mod1-F4 (Alt-F4) invokes "close" or "logout"

Mod1-Tab (Mod1-Shift-Tab) circulates forward (backward) through
the visible windows of the current desktop.

Mod1-Ctrl-Tab (Mod1-Ctrl-Shift-Tab) circulates forward (backward) through
_all_ windows of the current desktop (include the iconified ones)

Ctrl-Tab (Ctrl-Shift-Tab) circulates forward (backward) desktops
