Here is your license for the copying of Macaulay 2 source (in the Macaulay 2
language) and object code. Another copy of it is obtainable through the
online documentation.

			Macaulay 2 copying license

Provided you are a person (and not a corporate entity), you may make as
many copies of Macaulay 2 as you like for your personal non-commercial
use. You may install copies of Macaulay 2 on computers owned by
Universities, Colleges, High Schools, and other schools in such a way
that students and staff of those institutions may use it. You may
modify, compile, use, and distribute non-commercially the source code we
provide you, but you must retain the name of the program ("Macaulay 2")
on the source code and you must continue to cause the name of the
program to be displayed when the program is run, you must retain our
copyright notices and this copying license, and you must mark modified
source code and cause a notice to be displayed when the program is run
so others will know that it's been modified by you. Individual files in
the Macaulay 2 user language (the files with names of the form *.m2) may
also be modified and distributed, provided the copyright notices are
retained and you mark them so others will know they've been modified by
you. You may print out the manual and make copies of it for use by you,
     your colleagues, or students.

If your intended use of Macaulay 2 is not covered by the license above,
please contact us so we can work something out. Notice that in the license
above we have not granted you permission to make copies of Macaulay 2 to be
sold, distributed on media which are sold, or distributed along with software
which is sold. We have also not granted you permission to extract a portion
of the source code of Macaulay 2 and incorporate it into another program. If
you encounter a copy which appears not to conform to the terms of the license
above, we would like to hear about it.
