Citygen is a program which creates medieval cities based on the paper
"Medieval Demographics Made Easy" by S. John Ross and is used
with permission ( http://www.io.com/~sjohn/demog.htm )

To build Citygen from source, see INSTALL

As of version 1.2, you can specify the location of your professions
file( normally profsv ) by typing the location as an argument to citygen.

As of version 1.4, you can create a single city instead of an entire
kingdom by adding -single to the command line

As of version 1.4.2, you can configure a system wide default install
by modifying the prefix directory in the Makefile( defaults to /usr/local )

When run, the program will ask for the population of the kingdom and
the approximate age in years of the kingdom. It will then print out
the total number of villages, towns and cities( with a maximum
of 15,000 of each ) and the total populations of each. Finally, it
will print the total civillized population of the kingdom.

In the files "villages" "towns" and "cities" will be the cities
generated by the program.
