This is frox, a transparent ftp proxy for linux by James Hollingshead.

This is beta software. It works for me and might do for you, but I
make no guarantees. I wrote it for myself because I could not find
what I wanted - a simple transparent ftp proxy - and I'm releasing it
in case anyone else finds it useful.It is released under the GPL see
the file COPYING for details.

Current features include:

  o rfc959 compliant (I think) transparent proxying of ftp
    connections.
  o active --> passive mode conversion for data connections.
  o Optional caching support either locally or through an external 
    HTTP cache (see FAQ for details).
  o Optional non-transparent proxy support by logging in with
    user@host:port.
  o Options to bind to a specific interface, chroot, and drop
    priveleges for security.

Please read RELEASE and TODO for up to date information on the current
status, and INSTALL for installation instructions. The config file
frox.conf is also well commented. In case of any problems have a look
at the FAQ.
