INTRODUCTION:

Yes, you've got it. It's file explorer just like the one for Windows95 (tm).
This project was the called the Linux Explorer, but was renamed since it
will run under X on all (hopefully) the different *NIX flavors

A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS:

WARNING!!! The current version is 0.73 this means that all basic file
operations are enabled. This also means that they might not always work.
So be very carefull what you do!!!. We are NOT responsible if you
accidentally damage your system in any way. The 0.73 version does NOT
ask you if you want to copy/move/delete it will just do it, so be
 CAREFULL running it as root.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

 - See INSTALL for getting the X-plorer up and going.

 - See README.developer for details on joining the development team.

 - See NOTES for any last minute details and special hints.

DISCLAIMER:

This program is in no way based on any source code of the original
Windows95 (tm) Explorer. All source code and principles are new. The only
part of the program that was copied was the look of the interface
and the layout. We cannot be held responsible for personal taste. :)

FINALLY:

This software also contains material from Tim D. Gilman <tdgilman@best.com>
(which we had to alter slightly because of some new C/C++ scoping rules.)
  Thanks Tim.

  Have Fun,

    The X-Plorer development team <dev@x-plorer.org>.
