Some clarification is necessary, if you'll pardon me.  You'll need
to substitute your favorite CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network)
address for CPAN in the URL above.  A list of CPAN sites is available
at 

ftp://ftp.metronet.com/pub/perl/CPAN

Also, if you have a problem with the uncompressed pdf file, grab the
one off of 

ftp://ftp.metronet.com/pub/perl/authors/id/BMIDD/perlpdf-5.002g.tar.gz.

I've asked the archivists to verify they have a clean copy.
