DESCRIPTION

Tripwire v2.3 is Security, Intrusion Detection, Damage Assessment and
Recovery, Forensics software.

This is a policy-based program which monitors file system changes as specified
in a policy file. An encrypted database is used to help keep track of
modifications that have occurred in a system.

INSTALLATION NOTES

Post-installation Instructions:

Installing the Tripwire binary RPM gives you the basic program files needed to
run the product. However, the installation does not do any program
configuration needed for Tripwire 2.3 to perform correctly.

To complete the Tripwire 2.3 installation, you must run the configuration
script: /etc/tripwire/twinstall.sh

This script walks you through the processes of setting passphrases, and
encrypting the policy and configuration files. If you want to change the
contents of your policy file, twpol.txt, do so before running this script.
