
Partitioning with fdasd

   Highlight  the  drive you want to format and press
   Format  DASD,  you  will  then  be  prompted for a
   confirmation  that  you really want to destroy all
   data  on this DASD. Press Yes to continue or No to
   return  to  the  previous screen. Please note that
   formatting a DASD can take a long time !

   Highlight  the  drive  you  want  to partition and
   press  Edit Partitions, you will be presented with
   the  fdasd  partitioning  screen. You may then use
   fdasd  to  create, delete, or modify partitions on
   the selected hard drive.

   If  you  decide that you do not want to use fdasd,
   press  'q'  and  'return'  to  get to the previous
   screen.

   Once  you  have partitioned the drive using fdasd,
   you  will  return  to  this  screen.  If  you have
   another   hard   drive  that  you  would  like  to
   partition   using  fdasd,  select  it.  Otherwise,
   select   Next  to  assign  mount  points  to  your
   partitions using Disk Druid.

   For  help  with  fdasd, type m at the prompt for a
   list of commands.

   Some quick commands to get you started:

     * n -- Adds a new partition.
     * d -- Deletes a partition.
     * p -- Prints out the partition table.
     * w  -- Writes partition table to disk and exits
       fdasd.
     * q -- Quits without saving any changes.
